Concurrently, its official website (www.ngtx.com.cn) goes live, and the first batch of green technologies has been registered and displayed on this platform.

The establishment of National Green Technology Trading Center represents a significant step forward in Beijing’s efforts to enhance its green technology innovation ecosystem and quicken development pace towards the goal of an internationally recognized benchmark city for the green economy. In February 2025, National Development and Reform Commission approved the establishment of National Green Technology Trading Center, designating China Beijing Green Exchange as the implementing entity. Under the guidance and support of Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and in accordance with arrangements of National Development and Reform Commission, China Beijing Green Exchange has advanced preparatory and construction work across multiple dimensions, including expansion of trading operations, cultivation of market participants, and enhancement of platform capabilities.

To mobilize diverse stakeholders and jointly promote the efficient development of National Green Technology Trading Center, China Beijing Green Exchange has signed strategic cooperation agreements with 14 partners during the Forum, including CNNC Carbon Asset Operation Co., Ltd,, China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute, Beijing Tsinghua Industrial R&D Institute, China Energy Conservation Association, Kong King Research Institute, Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China, China Patent Information Center, Beijing Carbon Neutrality Society, Beitou Environment Co., Ltd, Think Tank of China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology, Center for New Technology Development under China Association for Science and Technology, Singaporean PaTex, and International Universities Innovation Alliance. A development trend, characterized by resource sharing and complementary strengths, has been on the horizon.

Additionally, following preliminary matchmaking and facilitation by National Green Technology Trading Center, China Beijing Green Exchange has signed the first batch of green technology trading cooperation agreements with six technology providers and demanders. Moving forward, China Beijing Green Exchange will continue to ramp up efforts for building trading platform infrastructure, refine the green technology market ecosystem, and push forward the synergies between green technology transactions, voluntary emission reduction transactions and green financial services. These efforts are intended to achieve integrated development and provide service support for green technology innovation and commercialization among the central and state-owned enterprises, as well as large and medium-sized private enterprises.

According to the head of China Beijing Green Exchange, National Green Technology Trading Center will facilitate the interplay of domestic and international circulations of green technology innovation and commercialization outcomes, help green technologies efficiently demonstrate new-quality productive forces, and establish a market-oriented, fully open, and comprehensive service platform with national leadership and global influence. The Center will contribute to unlocking the value of green elements in Beijing's sub-center, support the construction of a national green development demonstration zone and an international benchmark city for green economy, advance the comprehensive green transition of economic and social development, assist in achieving strategic goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and promote Green Belt and Road Initiative development and global response to climate change.

During keynote speeches of the parallel forum, speakers deliver presentations on many topics, including green technology innovation in park development, financial mechanisms supporting green technology commercialization, green technology innovation, low-carbon industrial transition, entrepreneurship education on green technology, among others.

During the subsequent roundtable discussion, participants engage in multi-dimensional dialogue and exchange insights on two key issues: “Building an Ecosystem for Green Technology Trading Market” and “Improving Incentive Mechanisms for Green Technology Commercialization”. The parallel forum also witnesses the launch of patent pools for green technology in steel and hydrogen energy industries, as well as the initiation of green technology broker and manager system. These initiatives are designed to further stimulate green technology market, propel industry-wide green and low-carbon transition, and strengthen talent development in green technology transfer and trading. Furthermore, the inauguration ceremony of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao International Carbon Neutrality Research Center is also concurrently held.

According to the head of China Beijing Green Exchange, as a key component of 2025 Beijing Green Development Forum, Parallel Forum on "Green Technology Innovation and Green Economic Development" is the first event following the establishment of National Green Technology Trading Center and also the first offline gathering of insiders in green technology trading market ecosystem. This milestone signifies the successful completion of preparatory work and the formal operational commencement of the Center.
